resetting BIOS passwords

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

My PC keeps shutting down and the message I get is to reset some of my BIOS
settings, but I don't know the password to get into it. I've searched all the
news groups and tried all the back door passwords I could find, if there is
anyone who knows more about this please help. I am running an Award Software
International 6.00PGN, please if you don't have anything positive to add,
keep it to yourself.
