SP2 audio

I've just installed SP2 but have lost my sound; everything worked fine with
SP1.

I'm using an Intel D845PEBT2 motherboard with Soundmax Integrated Digital
Audio

Everything looks fine in device manager

Have tested using DxDiag:
Sound tab - Test Direct Sound am receiving Failure at step 19 (user
verification of software): HRESULT = 0X00000000 (error code)
Musuc tab - Test results state that all tests were successful but I did not
hear anything!

Any suggestions, patches or workarounds?
