Whenever I plug in my USB external hard drive (or flash card) I either get a 'blue screen' crash or my PC just 'hangs'.
It used to work if I plugged in the device immediately after turning on the
PC but before Windows started. Now it crashes all the time. (Just installed
service Pack 2).
Does kdump + pentium-D + fedora 6 work? ... I've got a problem where my computer crashes.... The crash is completely unveventful - everything just hangs.... I've found a way to crash the computer reproduceably by closing a window in a certain program. ... As I can reproduce the issue, I installed kdump/kexec to see if I can capture the kernel crash data.... (uk.comp.os.linux)
