System crash when drag/dropping folders in Win Explorer

I am running Windows XP Pro and have suddenly begun experiencing spontaneous
crashes/reboots when dragging and dropping folders in the Windows Explorer
view. The seemingly relevant "blue screen" data that appears is as follows:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

STOP: 0X00000050 (0XF8CFB000, 0x00000000, 0X804E7410, 0x00000000)

Any ideas on fixing this problem?
Many thanks.
