Yeah, I know, but the way you wrote it seemed like you were expecting it to be found there.
I have multiple boot choices for my computer, but now I cannot boot up XP Professional in any mode since performing my last automatic update on 05/06/05. The initial XP logo screen will come on during the boot, but then the screen will go blank and the computer hangs up.
The article I pointed out suggests several methods of working around this problem, which I have tried but have not been successful yet. I appreciate any suggestions you may have to offer.
The only thing I could suggest at this point would be a repair install of XP and of course backup data first. Someone else may have a different solution.
