The source file path should be the containing folder for the i386 folder
rather than the i386 folder itself
eg
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\Sourcepath
should be directed to "C:\WINDOWS", rather than "C:\WINDOWS\i386"
Jon
The conventional path is C:\i386 so the sourcepath value would be C:\.

Could use a little help here. I have Windows XP pro installed with sevice
pack 1a. Installed Service Pack 2 with a CD. When trying to add windows
components I am prompted for the CD. I have redirected the source file
path
to point to the I386 folder with no luck. It will not even see the I386
folder from the CD. I am stumped on how to make this work. Any
suggestions
would be really appreciated.
