If they are that old then it is possible that they may in fact be 16
bit Windows 3.x programs that do not use registry entries, or very
simple Windows 9x apps that can be run without them.

Try just copying the program folder and files from the old drive to
the new drive, after installing the old drive temporarily as a second
hard drive in the new computer. Then use Windows Explorer to locate
the executable file for the program and double-click on it to launch
it. If there is a problem then the content of the error message(s)
produced should help to determine what else is needed.
