First - get something like Norton Ghost or Acronis TrueImage and make a full
backup. Then do the following.
1) Turn off Automatic Updates. (The original tips I gave you - look at #8)
2) Get TweakUI and turn off "Optimize Hard disk when Idle".
3) Get and install and properly configure a proper (2-way) firewall that can
tell you what is trying to contact the outside world as well as what is
trying to contact you. (The original tips I gave you - look at #5.)
4) Turn off System Restore. (The original tips I gave you - look at #6.)
5) Set to manual all unnecessary services. (The original tips I gave you -
look at #13.)
6) Uninstall any unnecessary applications. (The original tips I gave you -
look at #7.)
7) Scan for/eliminate spyware (use Lavasoft AdAware, Spybot Search and
Destroy, Bazooka Scanner, CWShredder, SpywareBlaster and IE-SpyAd to
properly scan and immunize. With AdAware be sure to do a FULL system scan,
not a "smart" one. (The original tips I gave you - look at #10)
8) Scan for/eliminate viruses/trojans with an AntiVirus besides the one you
already have. Try an online one. (The original tips I gave you - look at
#10.)
9) Change your "automatic updates" settings on running applications (Like
AntiVirus and the likes.)
10) Check your event log. Anything in there?
Did this all start when you installed SP2 onto Windows XP? In other words -
use some logic and give us some real information. What did *you* change
right before you noticed it? What updates have you installed? What new
equipment have you put in? Did you get an new ISP? Install any new
games/applications/always running? You mentioned screen shots - but never
told where on the web we could view these screenshots. Have you checked the
running processes using Google? Have you scanned with anythign besides
"Spybot Search and Destroy" for Spyware yet? Have you scanned with any of
the free online viruses scanners yet - to eliminate a possibly compromised
AV system you may currently be using?
Only *you* can see the symptoms - and describe them. Which means all *we*
can do is give you troubleshooting suggestions and hope you follow them and
report back to us whether one worked or not, what you found when you did
what we suggested, etc.
"None of you types", eh? You mean "those without this problem"? *grin*

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.
