I upgraded from Windows XP Home edition to Windows XP Professional with SP2 integrated and I lost to important functions during that upgrade.
1. I am unable to save images as JPE.
2. My PC does not recognize HID devices, like my Backups battery.
I talk to a few Microsoft tech's but none of the gave me a solution that
worked. I even tried repairing the OS with installation CD, but it didn''t
work.
Does anybody had this problem and if anybody can. Please email a solution
that would work. I just don't want to reinstall the OS from scratch. I am
trying to avoid that. Anybody, please reply. Your help will be greatly
appreciated

Re: Upgrading from Windows XP (SP1) to (SP2), BIG PROBLEMS... ... MVP - Windows Shell/User... never had such a serious problem doing an upgrade.... Windows XP after being upgraded to (SP2) overrode a nice size chunk ... if the Windows Update is unable to locate the needed ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support)

When I had purchased the MM was showing Ver 1.0 and suggested to upgrade.... So I have purchased the Upgrade disc to take XP HE to XP Pro + SP2. ... goes through the boot routine with the Windows logo and blue ...
