k watev u ppl are talkin bout look i need help ok i want to record a voice
over the computer so i can send it to my parents who live far away exept i
cant because it isnt over in the accessories --> entertainemtn --> sound
recorder its not there and i usto havet he sound icon on my taskbar but not
anymore so i went into sounds in control panel and selected show sound icon
on taskbar i clicekd it then it says windwos cannot find sndvol32.exe it may
be corrupt and some stuff so then i go to add remove progs to install it (it
tells me to ) i go there and it ant there so how am iseposto get sound now???

Re: Sound problem ... my problem lies within the ac97 sound I think. ... Dont know about the random beeps, but the AC97 does beep anytime you change ... The Sounds tab will test those chime sounds (Right click taskbar...speaker icon, select Adjust Audio Properties, then Sounds tab). ... (alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.asus)
