Children*2+Computer+Koolaid=Keyboard Error

HP 8860. Any solution? Is there any way to bypass the keyboard with a USB? I
have no way of knowing if this is even worth looking at and belongs to a
co-worker. The keyboard error may even be due to unplugging while hot for
all I know. No boot further than report of error and no way to continue.
Any help would be appreciated.

J.
