Upgrade Option when placing WindowsXP Disc in Drive

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I have SP1 and SP2 installed.

When I place my WindowsXP Professional Disc in the drive, the system
generates an error message telling me that I can not use this disc because I
have a new OS on my System.

How do I do an Update or a Restore if I think that some of my system files
are corrupt.

Thank

Ronald
