XP Pro - Fails with config\system problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi All;

Is there a way to test the Registry of XP Pro on a disc drive that will
not boot up.

After this failure, I Install XP on another drive OK, but really wanna
get back to my old system?
Read a few ideas from this list that indicate I might have a Reg
problem in the non loading XP, hence the Quesion.

I can see my non loading XP Drive OK and I see "...\config\system" OK
though size is different.

Regards
Ian
