The point is Kurt, people steal because they want to. The price is not a
part of the equation. People don't even send in $4.95 for a good little
shareware applet that they find to be useful and keep on their computer.
It's ingrained in the human psyche to get something for nothing. Then they
puff their chests out and claim they "beat the system". Well, some systems
fight back!
