RE: msconfig, Device Mngr, slave, mmc and regedit, restore problems



Run the repair consol. Insert your xp cd, boot from disk, then run the repair
consol

you will not need to reinstall any programs or delete your docs, but you
will need to reinstall drivers

this usually works in these sorts of situation
