World Wide Web Publishing Service Hangs

Ever since installing SP2 the World Wide Web Publishing Service Hangs on my
PC that runs XP Pro. I have disabled the service until such time as I can
determine a fix, else the PC takes forever to boot up. Anyone know of the
remedy for this problem? Thanks!
