Create a new Identity. If it works, import your messages from the old Identity and delete it. -- Ron Sommer

After a possible virus infection which I believe has now been eliminated, I
am now having a problem regarding my email settings on Outlook Express.
I noticed that I was no longer receiving any mail and on checking my account
settings noticed that the one for Incoming mail(POP3) had changed from
mail.virgin.net to a numeric entry.
If I change this back to the correct entry I can once again receive and read
my mail as normal.
The problem however is that despite saving the change etc , when I reboot
the PC the entry for POP3 has changed once again back to the numeric one.
I have already completed a 'repair' on XP using my PC's recovery disk and
any subsequent virus scan has proved Ok.
I would therefore appreciate anyones help or advice as to how I get the
changes for incoming mail to take effect without changing every time I reboot
the PC.
Rob.
