I'll try your regedit suggestion first. I'll repost whether it works or not.
Not sure if I did leave a disc in the drive when powering down. If I had
known this could happen I wouldn't have done it. Actually I have a few times,
come to think of it, since I bought this PC. Oooooooooooops!!
Btw...you posted links for edits...have you tried them all? When I went to
your site to look at Line 76 it gives you 2 options to download vb files. XP
gave me a warning dialogue box telling me opening or downloading the file
might damage my PC. Should I ignore this? Of course I will only try this
after I've tried the regedit idea.
Can you explain how it works? It automatically ends tasks to enable a proper
shutdown? Can you expand on that and give me an example?
