Word will be able to open Wordperfect 5.x or 6.x files. There may be a chance that Word will not be able to open your WP files if you version is later than 6.x, or if it can, they might not be formatted correctly. I recommend installing Word Perfect on the Dell so it will be seamless if you need to transition between the two machines.
