Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

That gives you an *option* for MS Outlook, but the instructions are for OE. It won't take long to set up and you won"t regret it.

Once you do, here are the direct links for some newsgroups.

XP:

Outlook Express:

Cool.

I really don't use the newsgroups much. Just when something comes up, and at
that point I'm just posting a question and then being notified with a link
(which works like a charm at that point) when a reply comes in. Do I really
want to confire a newsreader anyway? It's not THAT hard to drill down to this
section to post a question now and then.

Of course, having said that, I'll probably find myself using the newsgroup
often now that I've just installed my first XP machine in the office a month
ago.

If it's still advisable to go with a newsgroup reader, the link you gave
casually suggests to use Outlook 2003 if you have that configured, which I
do. I don't use OE but just Outlook 2003 and I only use it for email. Should
I go with that, or is OE still better and worth using instead?

THANKS A MILLION!

Rather than bookmark the stone-age interface you are stuck with now, you can
use the Outlook Express program that came with Windows. Here is how to set
it up in a flash:
