I have no reason why that date was chosen other than it is 240 days from the
release date.
However IIRC, it was originally 120 days and because of comments of many
large users, the date was extended.
It is really a non issue since it is easy to prevent installation of SP-2.
This issue only applies to the few users that installed that specific tool
in the first place.
Did you install the tool?
