Re: Can I change name to "Administrator"?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

you rename the 'administrator' to 'administrator 1' then the system will allow you to rename the user to 'administrator'.

I've just attempted to upgrade a Win98 system to WinXP Pro. I ended up with my name as the user, with administrative privildges. For redundancy purposes among my three computers, I'd REALLY like the name to BE "Administrator" as it is on the other two boxes. I tried to "Rename" the user to "administrator" but it tells me there ALREADY IS a use names "admistrator". And yet, there doesn't appear to be. Anyone have any thoughts on how I can effect this change?

Thanks.
