Open Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, open Services, scroll to list
on the right to Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing, select it and
double click, set Startup type to Disabled. That said, if you connect to
the Internet at all, you need some kind of firewall. Unless you are
connecting to the Internet through a router, you almost certainly will
become infected upon going online. This is especially important if you have
a broadband connection as they are always on.
If the above doesn't resolve the issue, please take this question to the
