I am running Vitual PC 2004 on Windows XP Pro. My host machine has a dhcp
reservation tie to the mac. On the virtual pc, I got warning message about
duplicate ip. I changed out the mac on the virtual pc, but it still
displaces the warning message about duplicate ip. Everything else seems to
be working. I am able to remote desktop to the virtual machine, able to
browse the net, able to do everything I tried so far, but just keep on
getting that annoying warning message.
The exact message come in a pop up box "Windows system error". "There is an
ip address conflict with another system on the network".
If I cancelled the dhcp reservation on the host pc, then the warning goes
away, but I need to use my host machine with a reserved ip address.
Thanks.
