It sounds off the wall but... a utility can written in Dbase/Foxpro/VB/Turbo/
etc to pick a random number that corresponds to the subscripted name of a
wallpaper that can be copied to the standard wallpaper name in startup. The
utility can be put into autoexec to change the wallpaper each time you start
up. It will use the same name, just the contents will be different.
