Something like that, yes. Most likely the installation routine (being
old) can't understand large disks and doesn't properly interpret the
"available space" number being returned to it.
As to getting around it....yuk. The preferred thing would be to get a
version with a more modern installer that understands large
partitions. It sounds like that's impossible. Maybe you could create a
small partition just for this program??
