ALL Help Files Wont Open

Hi,
Can anyone help me. Every help file (all microsoft and external
applications) I have won't open. The window appears then stays blank, hangs
and is not respnding. Generally I have to close down the associated
application.
This is with every single help file I try to access. I have SP2, have done
full spyware/adware with the Microsoft Anti-Spyware (and others). I have also
done full virus checks with nothing.
Can anyone help?
