A reinstall will replace the documents and settings and Windows folders
leaving everything else. This would probably get rid of the spyware,
malware. Disconnect from the internet until your firewall and service pack
and post service pack updates are applied. Also go into the Program Files
folder and delete any spyware or malware folders. Then run
adaware to remove any remnants left over. Then you can connect to the
internet.
Follow the steps for a Repair install, but choose to reinstall instead of
repairing.
