My computer had been having semi-regular crashes (going straight to a blue
screen) usually of a 8e or more often of a d1 nature.
When I had tested my ram it had showed consistant errors in the ERand test
phase.
Finally today I pulled out one of my sticks (DDR PC400 Ram, 512 each) and
tested them each individually. Neither of them showed any errors.
I put them back in, and together they again showed Erand errors. I switched
them to the same effect, but in the switched position the computer
experienced frequent, and sometimes immediate crashes, once a 0x00000050
error, and the others all 8e errors.
I've switched them back, and it seems to be on it's regular course again,
probably will have occasional d1 errors. I am currious how all this is
possible? I want to know what is wrong with my PC. For a while I was
thinking maybe it was the video card after all, but with this turn of events,
I'm thinking RAM still. Thank you.
