Have you checked that the smtp setting is correct in your email application?
Obviously the pop3 setting is correct because you are receiving mail but it
is the smtp one that sends the mail. It may be incorrect or the server may
require authentication (you may need to check with you isp for this)
If yuo are suing Outlook Express clcik Tools on the main toolbar and then,
from the drop downmenu, click Accounts. In the accounts window clcik the
Mail tab. Highlight your mail provider and then press the Properties button.
In the properties window click the Server tab and check the pop and smtp
settings. Depending upon the isp they should read either:
Pop.<yourisp>.com
smtp.<yourisp>.com
pop3.<yourisp>.com
smtp.<yourisp>.com
mail.<yourisp>.com
mail.<yourisp>.com
If your isp has a .net extention rather than a .com then you should have:
pop.<yourisp>.net
smtp.<yourisp>.net
Alternatively it may be that the server need authentication before mail can
be sent. Usually this is simply your user name and password. Again you need
to check your isp for this. But if you need authentication if you look on
the server tab again near the bottom you will find a section marked 'out
going mail' and an option which say's My server need authentication. Click
the box on the left of this option to enable it and then click the settings
box. The default setting is 'use the same settings as incoming mail'
