Sir,
I am facing many many errors after installing Windows XP. I had downloaded
a software from the internet and maybe because of that some virus has
corrupted. Norton Antivitrus and other top anti-virus software have failed. I
hav deleted the software i downloaded.
Now I am only left with the only option to format my PC. I have a
partitioned drive. C: drive contains Windows XP and D: contains my documents.
I don't have any other OS Installed. I tried formatting my PC from command
prompt but failed. Then I restarted my PC in MS-DOS mode and tried to format
C: but the error read unable to lock C: possibly because I was running on
MS-DOS in safe mode. But I had no other option on startup to run MS-DOS with.
I then made a start-up disk and booted from the floppy. and from that command
prompt i tried formatting but failed. It read format command as bad command
or file name.. I don’t have the Windows XP CD now. But I had copied all the
CD contents on D: for any re-installation. But re-installing XP doesn’t help.
Please help me in formattin the drive. Please help me immediately.I am in deep
trouble..
Thanking You
