Everything seems to be loaded except for the "PCI Simple Communications
Controller" and the modem. I do not see a modem in the device manager and
there is still a question mark by the PCI Controller.
I took the modem out and reseated it hoping it had shook loose during
shipping but that didnt help.
Is the PCI Controller the same as the modem? The modem had LGLUCENT on the
chip but no modem is installed.
I have browsed the Motherboard CD and didn't see any files or folders with
the PCI Controller.
I am wondering if I should reinstall the restore CD using winnt32.exe this
time, maybe it missed something? The CD instructions says if I put the CD in
the drive and restart the computer it will start the process of restoring
the system. That hasn't worked either. Did i mention this was a Wintergreen
system and the software says Famous Maker?
Thanks again for your much needed help,

            tcoop
