Yes, that works too.

Now I found the reason for the confusion: I tried to establish a command
that opens a DOS window (for debugging CMDs) in the selcted folder. Doing
this only the buttons "New" and "Set default" but not "Edit" were enabled in
the file types dialog.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\DOS
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\DOS\command
