In addition to the other replies:
You also need locally installed antivirus software, that you keep updated
regularly, and that runs resident in the background at all times. If you
don't have any, get some - AVG has a freebie if you don't want to buy a
product (although some of the AVG options are "crippled" in the free
version, and you will get no tech support).
