Sorry to have taken so long, but having taken your advice, I had to wait
several days to ensure the success of your wisdom which has indeed solved the
situation.
Thank you very much, however, I am now working my way through a selection of
randon coded bluescreens..... perhaps a clean install of XP may bethe best
solution, any ideas?
