Many thanks indeed for the swift reply. Ploughing thru the Forums after I
posted my request, I noticed that MS had a beta version of its new
anti-spyware package. I have just run this and it found 27 threats!!! Now
removed. I won't fiddle further today until I see how that works. I've
printed out your advice and will work slowly through it.
