DeskAd is (as the name implies) adware. The got installed on your computer by
an ActiveX object when you went to some website.
Download, update, and run:
Spybot Search & Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
Ad-Aware Personal http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
You may want to run these in Safe mode, but even if you don't one or the other
(or both) will probably get rid of this malware.
