Worst search feature ever. Period.

1. I have a file called Listdemo.java. It is located in a folder
called "list".
2. If I open the file using notepad.exe, I can see it contains the
word "Image".
3. If I right click on the folder "list" and select "Search...", I can
type in "Image" in the textbox beneath the sentence: "A word or phrase
in the file".
4. If I select "More Advanced Options", and review the dropdown list
of "Type of File", sure enough, "Java Source File" is present and the
icon is just smashing.
5. When I click the "Search" button, I see this **amazing** gradient
enabled segmented progress bar which truly makes my Operating System
investment worthwhile. Unfortunately, instead of being a "Gradient"
program, this is a "Searching" program, and I receive the message
"Search is complete. There are no results to display"

Now before you provide a response to me on how to fix this, understand
I accept absolutely no responsibility for what is going wrong. That
this text cannot be found is because Windows XP is garbage, pure and
simple. I could have this search work as expected in Windows 95. And
I'm sure there is some simple registry hack, or disk formatting, or
small program I could write in unmanaged C++ code to allow for the OS
to open a text file and locate the word "Image", but f it. The only
response I want to hear at this point is from someone at Microsoft who
says, "Yes, we did screw up with XP, its search feature does indeed
suck terribly. We're working on a prcess to ensure that with upgrades
we don't accidentally remove fundamental functionality from the system
and put gradients in their place.".
