After a precautionary use of the sfc /scannow function to
restore system files, I noticed this niggle.
When I rebooted, I noticed that the windows 'lastgood' folder (and is it
lastgood.tmp?) had disappeared. (It previously contained about 130mb of files)
When I repeat the scannow function, the 'lastgood' folder is restored with
130mb of files, but when I reboot, it again disappears.
I suspect that something has gone adrift in the registry - but I'm afraid
I'm no expert!
How can I permanently restore the last good folder and correct the registry
or whatever so that it stays put when I reboot?
Thanx
Mark
