How can I reduce the %cp available to a running process?
I have an app (SonicStage) which, when compressing MP3 files to ATRAC3
format, takes too much of the cp. This causes two problems -- first,
other apps run too slowly, and, more importantly, the CPU heats up to
such an extent that my system can become unstable.
I'm running XP Home at SP1. (I can't use SP2 at the moment as it
conflicts with one of my peripherals.)
