Thanks for answering my question, Andrew. Yes, I have the XP drivers and I
even went to the company that manufactured my PCI board and down loaded the
newest set of drivers for this modem. They turned out to be the same. Yes, I
also tried the hardware wizard many times with as many variables as I could
think of. I also went into the Phone/Modem area in the control panel and
tried loading from there. I've also been in the Bios and looked at and tried
a change in the pheriphral area and didn't help. I've also contacted tne
manufacturer of my computer and their Tech support is like all tech supports
there is only about 1 or 2 people who really know anything and skeak clearly
enough for you to understand them and you only get lucky once in awhile to
get one of these gentlemen. I've tried loading the software 1st but that
won't work because it can't find a modem to use in the installation and I've
tried to figure out how to load the drivers without the modem installed but
have been able to do that either. As you can see I'm about out of options and
I'm still stumped on this. I'm not a total dummy as my name suggests but I'm
sure baffled on this one and I would appreciate any other suggestions you or
anyone else comes up with. Thanks, Dummy
