The issue is not so much the CD is itself is bootable; it is whether your
hardware supports booting the system from the CD.
Check your BIOS and change the startup devices (diskdrives) to CD 1st,
Floppy second and HDD 3rd. (remember to change back if and when you
successfully get XP to install - change back to Floppy 1st, HDD 2nd, and CD
3rd.)
