Firewall off? Can you ping the server by name and by IP address? Can you
ping the DHCP server? (if exists) If no DHCP is the laptop static IP on the

| I have just got a Windows XP Pro notebook and am unable to join a WinNT

|
| Could this be becos XP can't connect to WinNT or is it becos the WinNT
| server wasn't setup correctly.
|
| Appreciate if if someone out there could help. thank you in advance.
