Ok, so I upgraded my Home version to Professional, but during the
installation process, a screen popped up asking for the SP2 CD to be
inserted. I have no SP2 CD. The upgrade I bought is supposed to have SP2 in
it, so I cancelled out of the box. It appeared again, and I cancelled out of
it.

The installation continued, but several problems seem to have occurred.
First, I couldn't do Windows Update, so I had to add BITS and WUAUSERV to the
registrty values. Then, Windows Update started working, and seems to be fine
now.

The other problem now seems to be that I cannot access any of the Security
Center tools. When I click on the Windows Firewall in the Security Center,
it says the associated service is not working, and that the Firewall cannot
be loaded. In the actual Security Center Window, it says the Security
Service has stopped or was not started.

I tried to start both Windows Firewall and the Security Center in the Admin
Tools: Settings, but I get an Error 1075 that the dependency service does not
exist or has been marked for deletion.

So, I don't really know what to do at this point.

I did try a repair install, but I was still asked to insert the SP2 CD,
which I cancelled out of again.

Some other thoughts are that I have are that I have Norton Personal
Firewall, which I disabled but did not uninstall before upgrading, as well
as Symantec's Corporate Antivirus software which I did nothing to during the
upgrade process.

Any suggestions out there?
