cannot delete folder and file

I am trying to delete a laplink folder and two files and when I try to do
that I get this error message:

Cannot delete MFC42.DLL: Access is denied. The source file may be in use.

I just want to delete the darn thing!!!!!!!!!! How can I do this???????
