I was working on a friends computer, and installing XP on it. It would get
up to 33%, then it just stopped. I figured it was a memory issue, so I
swapped out the 128MB stick for a good one I had. Everything installed fine,
so I put in the old memory again. When it booted, it said 'Decrease in
memory size'. I went to the BIOS it said it had 128MB. Everything worked
fine though, except the date and time in the BIOS was 1/1/1999. I fixed that
issue, and put the other 128MB stick in it, and the same date/time thing
happened.
Everything else is running fine.
Could it be the BIOS battery that's the issue?
Thanks for any feedback...
