I don't have another system that I can swap the drive with right now.
I'd find it odd that it would be overheating. The system will run for
weeks if I don't change CDs. As soon as I put one in, though, BAM!
It's not the blue screen of death or anything like that - just flashes
and acts like it's powering up for the first time of the day!

I'll see what I can figure out, though, and maybe I'll replace the
CD-ROM drive to see if that works.
