Hi, Peter.

I'm not David, but my recommendation is to boot from the WinXP CD-ROM and
either do a clean install or, if you want to preserve installed applications
and data, an "in-place upgrade" as described in this KB article:

If I've misunderstood your dilemma, please post back. The beginning of the
