Bev,

It's commonly known as betrayware . You could attempt to remove it by
installing it again (yuck) from their website, then uninstalling it.
It will most likely leave remnants of crudware on the system. Download
and install :

AdAware SE
http://www.lavasoft.nu/support/download/

Spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Read the tutorials for both :
AdAware SE http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial48.html
Spybot http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial43.html

If you're still stuck advise you to post the issue to a site that
specializes in crudware removal :
http://forums.net-integration.net/index.php?showforum=32

http://aumha.org/

http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30

http://computercops.biz/forum67.html

Please read the guidelines for each forum prior to posting anything or
your post may be deleted or ignored.
