I've tried that. I also went into security settings "User Authentication" -
Login - Automatic login only in Intranet Zone. The overall setting is at
low.

However, the prompt remains.

OK. Open Internet Options, Security tab
Try adding the IP address to the Intranet Zone

Also look at the "User Authentication" settings here:

Here's the run line (command line):
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
http://127.0.0.1/server_transfer/copychangedfiles.cfm
Here's the start in line: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\".
I also have the Administrator/pass entered for the Run as. which allows me
to run IE correct? This scheduled task will not execute with out the
Admin/pass entered.
The above opens IE and goes to the webpage. The directory,
server_transfer/, is password protected. Meaning, any file I try to execute
from the directory will popup a windows "Connect to: box requesting user
name and password. Here are the sequence of steps:
1. Scheduled task executes
2. IE opens
3. IE goes to the above webpage
4. The directory is password protected, which results in a login prompt.
5. Every thing stops as the login prompts waits for something to click OK so
it can display the requested page (user name and pass are already prefilled
since I logged in previously).
Please let me know which part you do not understand.
Thanks,
Brett

Sorry, I still don't understand what your problem is? More information would
be appreciated. Also, post the command-line.

What do you mean? It's a Windows directory prompt. So when the URL is
executed, it calls a page in that directory. At that point, you must enter
the directory user name/pass.

I see the problem and have it almost working. My guest account was good for
the URL but not to run IE. I put in the Adminstrator account and pass.
That gave access to IE and runs it with theURL. However, now the URL
prompts to run the webpage (which it should) but there is no automation for
this second prompt. The prompt is filled in and save pass checked but
something still needs to click "ok". Did I do something wrong or is there a
way around this?
Thanks for the help,
Brett

Try using a limited/admin account with non-blank password.

I can execute this through the command line with the appended parameter. It
does do a Windows prompt to run the URL (which is local 127.0.0.1). At the
command line, the browser opens and goes to the page then the prompt
appears. I already have my user name/pass entered and the save button is
checked. I just click ok and am logged in.
Now, on the Windows prompt, my user name is only "guest". In the schedule
task pane, it is computername\guest. I have entered this into the Windows
prompt with no problems. URL executes fine. Still, the task doesn't run.
How do I debug this?
Thanks,
Brett
